Social, IRL | Nov 2026
Less overthinking. More connecting - In Real Life. Ages 18-25.
A unique experiential workshop designed to get you out of your head and into the real world.
A first date. A networking event. A coffee order. Pilates class. At the bus stop.
We’ve all been there. Overthinking what we said—or what we should say. Wanting to make new connections but not knowing how to start the conversation. Or how to leave it. Whatever gets you stuck in your head, Social, IRL. is about understanding why—and actually doing something about it.
Join a small group of people who get it for three casual, therapist-led evenings designed to help you better understand that “it’s just kinda awkward” feeling, and how to challenge it effectively.
In this 3-part workshop we will:
LEARN
Understand social anxiety, why it seems to be increasing for young adults today, what may be driving yours, and practical tools for managing it.
PRACTICE
Move beyond talking about anxiety. In a comfortable, supportive environment, we’ll practice real-world social situations and experiment with approaching the very things that our anxious brain tells us to avoid.
REFLECT
Come back together to talk about what you noticed, what surprised you, what felt hard, and how to keep building on what you learned.
Plus: Optional follow-up support after the series.
WHEN: Nov 5th, 12th, 19th, from 7-8:30pm
WHERE: The Emerald office in River North, 40 E Huron St.
GROUP: Intentionally limited to 8 participants.
COST: $275 for the series. 10% Student Discount Available.
